Fundraising, Donations and Sponsorship

For over a century, Oban Gaelic Choir has been promoting the music and traditions of Oban, Argyll and the Highlands, representing the town and surrounding area in a wide range of events and activities. Last year we embarked on an ambitious development programme aimed at securing our position as one of the most vibrant and successful Gaelic choirs locally, nationally and internationally.

We are keen to build on recent successes by broadening and extending our repertoire and increasing levels of engagement in our various communities. For example, this year we will be joined by leading musicians in staging a major concert in the town; we hope to undertake a small tour with this concert and start producing and merchandising our own material.

We are confident that our growing success will be good for the choir, the local area and our partners. We would be delighted to meet with you to discuss any ways in which we might be able to help each other. We are particularly keen to find a selected number of potential sponsors with whom we can develop mutually rewarding, long-term relationships. If you are interested in exploring such possibilities, please contact either Deirdre or Donald (details below) to arrange a meeting.

We would of course also be extremely grateful for any donation you could make – large or small – to our development fund. Donations to the choir (registered charity SCO41027) can be made straightforwardly by clicking on the “donate button”, or by contacting our treasurer Margaret Farmer on 01631 770242 to arrange an alternative method.

Your interest and support is very much appreciated. Thank you!
